About Me
In the summer of 2009, I decided that my misguided attempt at becoming an accountant was over. Just a few months shy of qualifying as a CPA, I informed my immigrant parents that I would become a cook instead – they were thrilled!
With that, I moved to New York City to attend the famed French Culinary Institute to start my new journey and to chase my dreams. There, I had the honour of working and learning in the kitchens of Lupa, Del Posto, and Jean-Georges at the Mark Hotel - an exhilarating chapter far cry from the cubicles I left behind.
A few years later I returned home and helped open a growing-chain of Italian restaurants, before my next surprise career change. After being spotted on a morning show, I was suddenly cast as the culinary expert co-host for the CBC daily lifestyle show The Goods. Over the next 260 episodes, I had the incredible opportunity to lead cooking segments, interview guests, and host game shows.
Since then, I’ve fully embraced the dynamic world of food media. I still enjoy performing on national television, and have used my food media expertise to provide recipe development, food styling and writing services for clients. I also just finished my first cookbook with Penguin Random House, Eat, Habibi, Eat! .
And that brings us to today - check out my recipe development/styling services, on-air clips, upcoming book, online classes and reach out to connect! Whatever you do, just don’t ask me to help with your taxes, I still really suck at that stuff.
